Sam, the owner of Sugarlicious, is a mum who has always had a passion for parties. Even before her 1st baby boy was born, she used to daydream about his birthday parties. She loves lollies, chocolate, cake, parties, the odd glass of champagne & glitter!

She has always been the friend / family member that gets excited about planning amazing parties, whether a birthday, baby shower, christening, wedding or kids backyard birthday.

Despite heading into winter there is still plenty of pineapple and flamingo items around – this is one trend that is not going away! So whether you’re planning ahead for a summer tropical party or adding some pineapple or flamingo party items to a winter party – you will love these toppers and garlands!

Most cake toppers / accessories are hand made from glitter / plain cardstock and since a commercial electronic cutting machine is utilised it allows Sugarlicious to custom cut ANY number, letter, word or image up to 30cm.

With the release of the new Alice in wonderland movie this is another popular party theme and I love these toppers that Sugarlicious has created for a fun Alice in Wonderland party theme!:

Christmas Showcase

Leading up to Christmas so many of the businesses in the Life’s Little Celebration’s children’s party directory have such fantastic items on offer!

I wanted to find a way to share these all in one place for my facebook followers/blog readers to view! So I created the CHRISTMAS SHOWCASE ALBUM on my facebook page.

In the one album you can browse; Christmas decorations, printables, gifts, desserts and more! Everything you need whether you are planning a special Christmas party or just need some fun printables to use for classmate/workmate gifts or letters for Santa!

I hope you’ll make time to browse the showcase as there are so many wonderful Christmas items available and it will definitely give you some ideas of things you can prepare for Christmas time!

Thank you so much to all the vendors from the children’s party directory who contributed something for the showcase.

Christmas Colour Inspiration

What are your Christmas colours? It’s a question that seems to be getting discussed a lot lately on facebook.

Do you go traditional red, green and white? Do you like to change it up every year? Or do you stick to the same (but unique) colour palette each time?

We all know Christmas is about a lot more than just the colours we decorate in and it’s important that we don’t put pressure on ourselves as mum’s to have a Christmas tree or dessert table that is ‘magazine worthy’ – especially when you have children who want to be hand’s on in the decorating!

However I always find decorating in a colour scheme (and choosing the colours) is a fun part of the early Christmas preparations!

Here is some colour inspiration for you based starting off with what is fast becoming quite a popular colour combination – bold red and soft aqua:

I love these soft colour palettes of blue with creams and golds for a fresh look:

With a different shade of blue and gold you can create a warm feel:

A unique pink, gold and blue colour palette makes for a bright and beautiful Christmas spread:

Vibrant purple is a great colour for Christmas! Team it with a bold red:

Pink seems to be the ‘new red’ of Christmas! A soft pink, gold and silver colour scheme would look gorgeous:

You could go rustic with browns mixed in with reds, greens or golds:

Add silver to a traditional red and white combination for a stand out look:

Isn’t this a great Christmas centrepiece using baubles? Love it!

Red, white and green will always be a Christmas favourite:

You could also keep things very simple and light with a white winter wonderland feel in the midst of our hot Australian summer!

Another take on the pinkcolour scheme, this time with different shades of pink with gold. So elegant…

This is a stunning table! I love how they have brought in elements of traditional red ad green but also mixed in touches of creams and golds:

For a unique touch, why not mix pink and green together this Christmas?

Perfect for an adult’s Christmas dinner is this black, silver and white Christmas colour scheme:

I’ve noticed some neon christmas decorations in store this year so if you want to go bright and bold this year – here is some inspiration for you!:

I hope you have found a Christmas colour combination for Christmas.

It’s impossible to collate every possible Christmas colour combination available.  So – what are your Christmas colours? Did I include them in this selection or are you doing something different? I’d love to hear from you!
