Party Feature: Magical unicorn party

There’s nothing quite as enchanting as a magical Unicorn Party and we have an amazing one to share with you today by one of our members!

This gorgeous collaboration shoot involved some amazing vendors including Glamacamp. Lisa from Glamacamp shares all the details with us today: “We are all involved in creating spectacular events for special occasions. It was so lovely to get together to create this gorgeous children’s package. The ideas and inspiration conceived from an inspirational post put out by “Your Mane Event” on Instagram. I was sure with the immense talent of people involved we could create a fanciful package that the kids would adore.

As the children arrived, they were greeted with the spectacular sight of the set-up. The tent with the golden unicorn head emerged from the natural wildness of the bush in our backyard. “The Frame” photography led the girls in a fanciful direction, guiding them through the adventure, capturing their reactions along the way.

I wanted the shoot to be as close to a real party as possible. The invitation was sent out, specially personalised to the guest. I asked the girls to be in their own choice of special dress, to come as they would to a party to celebrate. No special effort was required, no make-up, no hair, just the natural raw beauty of the children experiencing the magical set up for the first time.

“This is what dreams are made of” the parents said as the children rushed forward to meet our star of the show “Cherry” the Unicorn from the Sunshine Coasts premier horse modelling agency “Your Mane Event.” She emerged elegantly crowned and adorned in fresh cut flowers specially made for her that morning by Rambling Rose Cooroy.

As a backdrop Glamacamp’s slumber tent opened up exposing the 5 luxury beds. All with comfy spring mattress and cloud like tops. Sleeping under the stars in a Glamacamp bell tent is a truly memorable experience for any child. Beautiful pink and golden starred bed linen sparkled in the afternoon sun. Calling for any child to jump on and test it out which they did. Extra cushions, blankets and rugs, each bed with a little side table and lantern. Draped organza sheer and pretty waved blissfully in the breeze with the hanging festoons. Country style floral arrangements soft pinks, peonies, roses, lisianthus, gerberas for inside and out. The love of floristry evident in each vase from Rambling Rose Cooroy. There was the addition of scattered planters and my prize standard hibiscus that had decided on the day to close all its flowers but one. It’s a small but none the less, an impressive and very intimate setting to be enjoyed with only the closest of friends and buddies.

The package is styled to create a glamorous exploratory playground for the children to enjoy. Furnished with luxury details that are for a celebration to remember. Our Glamacamp style has an adventurous spirit, layered with textures and fabrics in soft colours for a magical experience. Peachy pinks and cotton candy with detailed highlights in brass and gold. .

The picnic table was set up on a gorgeous vintage aqua Turkish rug. The solid wooden French country style table with large marshmallow cushions as seats. Vintage English fine bone china laid on an antique French country kitchen table cloth. The napkins held with childhood memories for me, wrapped with the edible necklaces I can remember enjoying as a kid. Personalised name tags for each place setting designed together with invitations, thank you, food tags and signage as part of the signature stationary set for the package

Delicious sweet treats for all the children to enjoy. Unicorn biscuits, Unicorn donuts and that Magical Unicorn cake front and centre in the middle of the table, all created by the fabulous SweetP Cakes and Cookies. A true visionary delight that you would say are almost too good to eat.

I asked Journey Street food to create a presentation delight as adventurous as our own set ups. An exotic, fresh and healthy 3 tier tower of creative yumminess to be shared by all. Fruit skewers, cheeses, crackers, dips, rice paper rolls with decorative edible flowers, bliss balls, with a few extra little treats.

The children’s celebration was captured by one of the best.  The photographer from “The Frame” worked her own magic with the children, they were as fascinated as captivated.

Slime Party Feature

If you speak to anyone under the age of 10, they are sure to know what slime is. Slime was a huge craze in 2018 with kids everywhere either playing with it or making it – or both! We are sure slime parties will continue to be popular in 2019 and we know this feature will inspire your planning!

Chantelle from Silk and Cedar Events has created the perfect slime party theme that kids of all ages can enjoy.

This slimey party has been featured in the latest issue of “Celebrating Little One’s e-magazine”

A science themed slime party full of beakers, test tubes and lab coats makes for an exciting and interesting party. Both the boys and girls were intrigued and immersed in the activities.

The desserts tables have been set up in a fun and interesting way, with lollies in test tubes, cupcake volcano and slime covered cake pops. The kids had so much fun choosing their snacks from the science tables.

Each little scientist has their own place setting with all their tools and equipment for their meal.

Each guest was equipped with their own scientist coat and glasses ready for the experiments to come.

Test tubes, syringes and droppers help put together the place settings for each guest and give an experimental and scientific feel to the table! Each guest was provided with a magical and galactic looking plate, topped with slime.

Once the food is over the fun begins. Everyone got a chance to make their own slime. Budding little scientists mixing and measuring their own personal gooey slime.

This event was organised and coordinated by Chantelle at Silk and Cedar along with a group of amazing vendors. All their services can be booked and their details are below. Check them out below.

A cute leaf and fox inspired 1st birthday

Today we are sharing a delightful first birthday by Martina of Mar-valicious Bites. We love this unique theme and this sweet setup!
Martina tells us more about it here…
“We wanted to have a small intimate celebration for our little man Ashtyn’s 1st Birthday with close family & friends.
We kept everything beautiful but simple.
We wanted to do the theme a little different than usual….using leaves as Ashtyn absolutely loves being around leaves & nature. The baby fox was a cute addition to add we thought. Theme colours were leaf greens, white & gold.
I am lucky enough to be able to make my children’s cakes & cookies having my own cookie business called MaR-Valicious BiteS.
The cake was a 3 layered vanilla & chocolate buttercake, filled with buttercream layers & frosted with an ombre of greens in buttercream also. The additional touch was my decorated cookies with a gold baby fox, green monsteria leaves & his initial in gold.

Amazing dessert cups made by Queen of Cups. These were absolutely delicious…we had Lemon cheesecakes, passionfruit cheesecakes, white chocolate cheesecakes, nutella cheesecakes & sweet chocolate mousse with a gold strawberry on top. Thank you Natalie from Queen of Cups!

The green, gold & white balloon garland & gold confetti balloon were such a special touch to bring our dessert table together! It looked beautiful all set up! Thank you Bridal Blooms & Balloons by Kate!!

The final touch of our dessert table was the gorgeous custom wooden cake topper made  by The Cupcake House! Thank you Leigh & Steve!

The cake, dark chocolate & milk chocolate chunk cookies & decorated cookies were all made by me MaR-Valicious BiteS.

We also had deliciously glazed donuts brought in by my best friend Kylie & a warm peach & raspberry cobbler made by my mum.

Everything turned out beautifully.

2018 in review!

There isn’t much left of 2018 and as I look back it has been a big year with a few things ticked off that had been on my mind to do for this year….

The year kicked off with our Celebrate Conference day which was a huge success bringing together biz owners from around Australia for a fabulous day of networking, listening to inspirational speakers, enjoying great food and views and leaving with an amazing swag bag! Our last Celebrate Conference was in 2016 so it was fabulous to run it again!

Later in the year I also hosted the first Celebrate mini- masterclass which was something I was hoping to trial this year. Our guest was Mary Ronis and was an AMAZING day with everyone requesting MORE! Hence why we are running another on Tues 26th March with Mary and more in the future!

We had 3 issues of our magazine put together which included some amazing shoots demonstrating the talents and products from our members and I am truly so proud to be able to help bring these collaborations about!

We also hosted wonderful guests in our members monthly biz training sessions such as Astrid (Paper Playground) , Jen Lo (Bakedown Cakery), Mary Ronis (Mary Ronis Events), Amanda Lee (Sugar Sugar Cake School) as well as experts in branding, PR, copywriting, marketing and more!

This was also the year I launched “The Celebrate Society” – a new version of our membership which better summarises what this membership has evolved into! As part of the rebrand I had a fun photoshoot with Hipster Mum:

The launch of The Celebrate Society went so well, we welcomed many new members and I’m excited about 2019 and the opportunities for our members! The new launch also included a package which included some mentoring which I was excited to put out there!

In 2019 we will have more in-person Celebrate events as well as some networking events in Sydney, Queensland, Melbourne and Perth, more amazing magazine issues – while still showcasing our members on our blog, directory, social media and helping them connect and collaborate and receive business support!

Let me take this opportunity to THANK YOU for being a part of this community, following along and enjoying what I share! Thank you also to all who have been involved with Life’s Little Celebrations this year and all of our members!

I look forward to sharing more with you in 2019! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and the joy of Christmas carries through into 2019! Dream big goals for yourself as we head into a new year….anything is possible!
