Once upon a time there were four little Rabbits, and their names were – Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail, and Peter.
Peter Rabbit party – Cookie Queen Kitsch’n
If there’s any other rabbit that can outdo the Easter bunny in popularity, it’s Peter Rabbit. The cheeky bunny in a blue peacoat and his friends are stealing the lime light these Easter school holidays with a film that I personally cannot wait to see, recreating the children’s classic story by Beatrix Potter.
The Beatrix Potter characters come alive in an action animated comedy directed and co-written by Will Gluck, based on the mischievous Peter Rabbit (voiced by James Corden) and his feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson). This much loved bunny party theme will last well after the Easter bunny goes back to his burrow for another year.
A Peter Rabbit theme is perfect for baby showers, first birthdays and christenings as you can take as little or as much of the classic story as inspiration as you like. Think shades of his pretty blue peacoat, natural earthy tones and textures, vegetables and of course Peter himself! Here’s our wrap up of finds from our LLC Vendors to help inspire and shop from for your upcoming Peter Rabbit party.
Peter Rabbit party invitations
There are so many ways of presenting this party theme, with as little or as much reference to the characters as you like. But Peter is just so cute, he’d have to make an appearance somewhere, surely!

Peter’s playground is Mr McGregor’s vegetable patch, so take inspiration from the colours and textures of the garden and have a little fun with your decorations by incorporating elements of the story (and garden!) into your theme.

Peter Rabbit party hire items
It’s the little details that help bring a theme together, so hiring items you don’t readily have on hand (or want to keep!) is a great way to achieve the look you’re after. From extra tables and chairs, play equipment and cake platters, we’ve found some great items that will do the trick.

At last, Peter Rabbit made his way back to the cozy burrow where he lived with his family. He was a very tired bunny indeed!
I hope you had a wonderful Easter! This Easter Monday I wanted to share an Easter Celebration with a riot of Spring colours and a country twist.
Sweet gingham-print plates, cups and napkins paired with pretty daisies adorning copper-toned paper straws sets the tone for a little picnic fun full of delicious treats…cakes with rabbit faces, egg-shaped cookies with dainty flowers, bunny macarons that were almost too cute to eat…where to start??
The gorgeous balloons with gold fringes swayed above our bunnies’ pretty floral crowns while the beautiful flowers leads towards the Easter Egg Hunt where our little bunnies Marley and Ashanti run amok with the bigger bunnies Zahra and Imaan, finding the ultimate trophy of the day – rabbits and chocolate eggs and oh, so much more!
All styled by the talented Paper Playground in collaboration with a range of vendors including many Life’s Little Celebration members! The result is oh so sweet!
Enjoy the browsing…..

I know there are many of you who *love* making your child’s birthday cake….then there are others of us who *do not*…(*ahem*me!).
I am always happy to make a simple cake for my child on their actual birthday but cake decorating is not something I enjoy OR do well..so I much prefer to order a cake for their birthday party and I know that I’m not alone.
It helps to ease some stress or is also useful if you’re serving a larger crowd for a first birthday or Christening
However when ordering a cake there are many things to consider and discuss with your chosen cake artist. So today we’re chatting to Sydney cake artist Juny of Sugar Cloud Cakes today who is sharing her tips for you to keep in mind when choosing a cake style for your child’s birthday or Christening!
1. Cake Flavour
Ordering a custom made cake is similar to ordering your style of coffee. Best to go for the flavour you like best and build the icing or filling from there.
Especially for kids birthdays it is always good to ask children what they like instead of what we think they would like.
However if you like to try their signature flavour or try something completely out of the ordinary – then of course suggestions from the cake artist is always great.
2. Type of party, theme and design
When speaking to your cake maker it is important to mention what type of party you are ordering the cake for ( Christening, Birthday, Wedding, bridal or baby shower) and the theme or style that you’re looking for.
It will be a bonus as well if you have some sort of inspiration pictures of the style.
3. Number of guests
Let your cake artist know the number of guests you would like to serve the cake to. This would help the cake artist or baker to determine what cake size is best to quote you.
4. Price
Be mindful with the price that you’ll hear back.
Of course people setup their party with a budget in mind but when it comes to custom made things it does come with a custom price tag.
As you would when buying a custom made dresses or suits – the same concept applies to your special occasion cake as well.
Do read up on the reviews that past clients have posted about the cake artist through their website or Facebook page.
Word of mouth is very powerful and it shows the calibre of the cake artist that you have chosen to make your cake.
5. Special dietary requirements
It can be difficult to cater for all dietary requirement for all customers but make sure if you do have a special dietary request please make sure you let the cake artist know.
Keep in mind there will always be traces of nuts in people’s kitchen. This could be through some ingredients, which might contain them or some kitchen share tools.
