Rebekah’s Doc Mcstuffins / Ice-cream Party
How do you combine an ice-cream party theme with a party based around character Doc Mcstuffins? It was a fun challenge for my daughters 5th Birthday party and thanks to Leanne from Dream a little Dream parties who provided me such great ideas and printables – it all came together with a “Clinic cafe” (Dessert table) and “Clinic pharmacy” (Ice-cream table) with ice-cream toppings as the “prescriptions!”
For those of you who don’t know , Doc Mcstuffins is a little girl who is a doctor to her toys. She is a great character and I enjoyed planning a party theme which wasn’t a Princess theme after the last 2 parties! Being a summer party I thought it was the perfect time to incorporate ice-cream – because what kid doesn’t love ice-cream?
At the “Clinic cafe” dessert table I included some theme related items such as “prescription cookies” (these cookies were amazing, thanks to Love Every Detail) , “extra stuffing” fairy floss, “cotton ball” marshmallows and “cough syrup” jelly along with flowers in science beaker vases.
The “Clinic pharmacy” ice-cream table had a sign with various “prescriptions” of ice-cream toppings and had ice-cream tubs reading “ice-cream cures everything’.
For the cake I wanted a Katherine Sabbath inspired cake with an ice-cream feel and JK Cake Designs did a fabulous job with adding an ice-cream cone wafer border to the bottom of the cake as well!
Kids were entertained by Doc Mcstuffins from Fairy Fun and as ALWAYS Phillipa did an amazing job of theming the games and music to Doc Mcstuffins and making sure the kids had loads of fun. This was the 3rd time I’ve used Fairy Fun and each time has been different and so weel customised to suit the theme/character.
To take home – girls were given a range of ice-cream related favours and Doc Mcstuffin favours as well as a test tube filled with jellybeans to carry on the Doc theme.
Rebekah had such a fun time at her party and it is always a joy to see the birthday child enjoying themselves along with their siblings and friends isn’t it?
For my own children’s parties I always love using Life’s Little Celebration partners which I have again done for all aspects of this party and vendor credits are listed at the bottom of this blog post.
Here is the invite which brought the two themes together thanks to Dream a Little Dream!:
Hope you enjoy all the photos of the party!:
