We are delighted to share this gorgeous aviation party so cleverly put together by Sassy Snaps Perth! As Carly writes….
“Wanting to keep it very white and bright, we styled a contemporary aviation party using lots of white, a touch of scandi and some metallic silver for contrast. Inspiration came mostly from Angela (Insta handle @_honeypunch) from when she had styled her own sons 2nd birthday party with a contemporary paper plane theme, that was different from the retro and vintage themes usually associated with aviation themes.
Featuring a streamer wall and white balloon garlands, to backdrop the stunning acrylic signage and display our desserts on clear plinths filled with balloons, showcasing the cake, cookies, cupcakes and dessert towers setup alongside the donut wall filled with fresh Krispy Kreme’s.
For the kids we had a special kids table setting complete with playdough activity mats for the kids, with playdough, custom plane & cloud cutters, kids rolling pin, an activity book, luggage case (full of goodies!), and party hats.
We even had a kids corner setup with Sam’s birthday presents which included his new slide and ball pit from Hip Kids which the kids all loved!
As far as catering went, we styled a grazer for nibbles and in-flight snacks of popcorn, pretzels & nuts, and had some freshly made salads and pasta, served alongside a fresh roll, and fresh coffee that were handed out by our flight attendants on serving trays (first class service). The kids enjoyed their own serving trays with sandwiches, sultanas, chocolate bar, cookie and babycinos.
We love the extra touches to really bring this theme alive:
I just love this whole setup, the gorgeous white/grey colour scheme, all the clever ideas and stationery! Here are the vendors so you can source the items included!
Many boys are loving “How to train your dragon” and with the release of the latest movie this is a popular kids party theme! Today we are featuring a fun setup by Sydney based Cookie Queen n Kitsch’n.
The stylist Traci explains about the setup – “A very excited Mum, Tracey contacted me in very early January and wanted to know if we could assist with her son Ethan’s 7th Birthday. She advised Ethan was a very passionate fan of the series How To Train Your Dragon and they want to work the party into the theme of the latest Hidden World with lots of Aqua with the Crystal Cave look, with the Black and natural tones, but to include Toothless and the new Night Fury Dragons.
This was definitely a challenge we were eager to accept, agreeing that we would design a new backdrop to put in our hire collection. Jo’s Signs by Design as always gave us her professional quality and service and it looked amazing. The Dragons were brought to life, especially in the surrounds of the old venue at White Creek Stables, an old rustic horse stable situated under a huge old oak tree.
Our latest tailored cloth in the black ruffle suited perfectly, and we used black and a wooden half barrel to bring the table to life with some lighting.
We featured our ever popular custom cookies with our Magnum Pops done in Toothless himself! They featured a bright blue cake inside that was blueberry flavoured.
The child favourite of light crystal jelly pots, and some dragon nest Sultan Meringues flavoured in bubblegum for a fun surprise.
Mum Tracey insisted she couldn’t go past needing our Gaytime Pots for the adults to indulge in. Then there was the new Donut Pops for some extra fun for the boys after slaying dragons in their activities in the water canon bouncy castle.
The event was a huge hit, Ethan was smiling from ear to ear and couldn’t wait to dive into his HTTYD Cake with out custom designed personalised cake topper for some extra funk.
Tracey even made the take home favours herself, Dragon Eggs that were hidden in nests throughout the venue’s park area for the kids to find.
This will certainly be a fun and popular theme this year for kids parties! If you’re wanting to plan your own How to train your dragon party for your child, you can use the vendors below to recreate the same look:
This theme pulls away from the common themes and is an out of the box theme – that has paid off paw-fectly.
The overall look and theme of the party is all based around the wonderful colour’s our four legged friends come. With paw print balloons, platters of food ready to snack on and doggy bags ready to go.
The table decoration and styling is spot on. With meals and snacks being served in dog bowls and bone shaped trays to keep in with the theme.
How cute are the puppy themed cookies and cupcakes? All made especially for the event and to put smiles on the attendees faces.
The personalised puppy cake is simple, modern and fun. It was definitely a show stopper and had everyone talking.
With snack cards, party hats, decorations and doggie bags all personalised for Eli’s special day.
Not only did the attendees have snacks and games to play. They were also surprised with face painting to help them fit in with the theme. How happy and excited do all the children look? Face painting was definitely a hit with them all.
The individual detail that went into each and every aspect of this party was carefully put together by a lovely group of vendors – all part of our membership The Celebrate Society!
