There isn’t much left of 2018 and as I look back it has been a big year with a few things ticked off that had been on my mind to do for this year….
The year kicked off with our Celebrate Conference day which was a huge success bringing together biz owners from around Australia for a fabulous day of networking, listening to inspirational speakers, enjoying great food and views and leaving with an amazing swag bag! Our last Celebrate Conference was in 2016 so it was fabulous to run it again!
Later in the year I also hosted the first Celebrate mini- masterclass which was something I was hoping to trial this year. Our guest was Mary Ronis and was an AMAZING day with everyone requesting MORE! Hence why we are running another on Tues 26th March with Mary and more in the future!
We had 3 issues of our magazine put together which included some amazing shoots demonstrating the talents and products from our members and I am truly so proud to be able to help bring these collaborations about!
We also hosted wonderful guests in our members monthly biz training sessions such as Astrid (Paper Playground) , Jen Lo (Bakedown Cakery), Mary Ronis (Mary Ronis Events), Amanda Lee (Sugar Sugar Cake School) as well as experts in branding, PR, copywriting, marketing and more!
This was also the year I launched “The Celebrate Society” – a new version of our membership which better summarises what this membership has evolved into! As part of the rebrand I had a fun photoshoot with Hipster Mum:
The launch of The Celebrate Society went so well, we welcomed many new members and I’m excited about 2019 and the opportunities for our members! The new launch also included a package which included some mentoring which I was excited to put out there!
In 2019 we will have more in-person Celebrate events as well as some networking events in Sydney, Queensland, Melbourne and Perth, more amazing magazine issues – while still showcasing our members on our blog, directory, social media and helping them connect and collaborate and receive business support!
Let me take this opportunity to THANK YOU for being a part of this community, following along and enjoying what I share! Thank you also to all who have been involved with Life’s Little Celebrations this year and all of our members!
I look forward to sharing more with you in 2019! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and the joy of Christmas carries through into 2019! Dream big goals for yourself as we head into a new year….anything is possible!

You will truly feel like you’re stepping into a gorgeous winter wonderland with this party feature by Events by Ashwood(QLD) we are sharing today! This was a collaboration shoot with other Celebrate Society members and we love the gorgeous mix of whites with rose gold, the wintery touches throughout the desserts, the stunning dresses and florals and beautiful setting!
Ash explains the inspiration behind this shoot….
“I’ve always adored luxe Christmas style and always aim for this style in my home when decorating for the most wonderful time of the year! I have tried traditional colours but I can never seem to resist glitter and sparkle. (What can I say.. black, white & glitter have power over me!)
So I was super excited to style this Life’s Little Celebrations collaboration shoot! When putting the mood board together, I instantly had a vision in my head and just ran with it. Growing up in the UK, most years I woke up to a wonderful white Christmas and it truly did make Christmas. Having lived in Australia now for 12 years, I must admit, swapping the snow and minus degree temperatures for sun and prawns isn’t quite the same so the opportunity to recreate a whimsical woodland Christmas setting was the perfect theme for me”
“As soon as Ellana (Sweet P Cakes & Cookies) recommended the location for our shoot, I knew it was perfect and that’s where I drew my inspiration for our color palette moss, rose gold, silver and white. Add in five gorgeous little fairy models and voilà we have a magical setting.
Getting caught up in every little detail, I’m truly in my element, so it was nearly effortless to create a festive Christmas setting like this with decor items supplied by these amazing vendors (see below).”
The cake is truly stunning and unique!
Love the gorgeous cookies seen above as a cookie wand, and below as a cookie tree decoration!
Ash continues….”Getting caught up in every little detail, I’m truly in my element, so it was nearly effortless to create a festive Christmas setting like this with decor items supplied by these amazing vendors (see below).
First, I styled the Christmas tree with lots of silver & white elements, and then placed in some greenery which complimented the forest them which was our backdrop. I think a beautiful tree skirt is the perfect finishing touch. Then, I styled a low setting table which was set up for a Christmas feast!
This was so much fun and I added lots of elements and layers across the table. The shoot took place right on dusk. I also used some large silver and rose gold orbz balloons and added some ribbon so they looked like large Christmas presents. You can style these under your Christmas tree and they are perfect for photoshoots just like this and for any theme.
Now the real magic happens! Drum roll, please. Enter, Sienna, Ava, Ivy, Grace & Alice! The girls had so much fun hosting this winter woodland themed Christmas, running through the forest and enjoying these stunning sweet treats. Their magical flower crowns are perfection and they also had little foral bouquets.
I hope you enjoy looking at these stunning images captured by Anita Elliston Photography, as much I enjoyed styling this Christmas setting.
As the countdown to Christmas is on we hope this shoot inspires you and helps get you in the Christmas spirit!
