An American Indian theme has become so popular this last year and I love this gorgeous party we are showcasing today as the colours are bright and vibrant and the theme has really come to life through the props and styling from Sydney based Sweet Heavenly Events Hire!
As Mary from Sweet Heavenly Events explains: “Vicky came to us and told us what she had in mind for her daughter Valentina’s Birthday. We jumped at the chance of styling something unique and amazing. We got to work with our crazy and talented bunch of vendors to design something gorgeous. Using our Marble timber stands and our copper table ware it was a true masterpiece.”
Enjoy the incredible images and details and you will find all the vendor credits at the end of this post with many vendors you can find on our Directory!:

A rainbow party theme is always popular – beautiful and bright for any children’s event! So when it came time for a special Life’s Little Celebrations collaborative shoot for our friends at Lenzo this theme was chosen with the challenge to bring a new twist on this well loved theme – view the Lenzo feature here.
Chantelle from Tiny Tots Events in Melbourne coordinated and styled the shoot and worked with many vendors from Life’s Little Celebrations (vendor credits at the end of this post) to create this truly stunning and unique rainbow party setting.
The balloons featuring in this party from the rainbow arch, to the gold confetti balloons to the gorgeous grey balloon backdrop are totally mind blowing and the work of talented Boutique Balloons in Melbourne:
I love the uniqueness of the 3D backdrop with a little girl painting a rainbow in soft colours with the ribbons flowing down !
The sweet rainbow colours work beautifully with the metallics in the shoot along with the greys/blacks showing how a rainbow does not have to be strictly only about rainbow colours:
The kids setting is just stunning with florals in various colours and a setting any child or adult would love!:
The dessert table was adorned with an array of colourful rainbow inspired desserts. Rather than going with rainbow shaped desserts , the desserts were inspired by the pastel watercolour shades of the rainbow featured in the backdrop:
This sweet invitation which coordinated with the backdrop set the scene for the event with it’s beautiful watercolour rainbow and gold foil:
The design was carried through into the sweet favour tags:
I hope this colourful rainbow party has left you with a smile on your face and feeling inspired for your next celebration you are planning!

Let’s face it, the first year of a baby’s life is challenging for all involved to say the least so when it comes to planning this special milestone, it is definitely worth celebrating and well to be honest, we all deserve a party!! Today Melbourne event stylist Helen from The Sugar Topped Table is sharing with us all some tips when it comes to planning this first birthday!
It all begins with choosing the perfect theme that may reflect the tiny personality already formed by your little ones. These may include a cute little princess theme for a sweet little girl or a Peter Rabbit theme for that handsome yet so cuddly little boy.
Once you’ve decided on your theme, its then much easier to work out what you are after when it come to the invitations

Why are these so important you may ask? Well they create a level of excitement & anticipation for all your guests which then leave them guessing as to what you may have planned for this special celebration.

This also helps with the design of any other stationery items you are wanting including backdrop, welcome sign, thank you tags, chocolate wrappers – the list goes on!

I know that I absolutely love receiving those WOW factor invitations; it just confirms that this event will be amazing!
Now that the unique style of design is complete, we can focus on all the other fun items including the decorations, table settings, main cake, desserts, guest favours, entertainment – the list goes on!

This week it’s my little boy’s turn in the spotlight, and I’m so excited to be sharing his first birthday party with you after it was featured on Babyology last week!
First Birthday’s are always a big celebration in our family, and the kids love looking back on the photos just as much as we do – so whilst it may look like he enjoyed the ball pit more than anything, you couldn’t wipe the smile from his face all day. At such a young age they just know the day is all about them, don’t they?
The vintage tricycle theme was chosen because for me it represents the innocence and simplicity of childhood, and it was one I had been holding off on using until we welcomed a little boy into our family – there had been a lot of pink up until now with two daughters already!
Less traditional colours of copper, mint green and yellow were chosen simply because he looks so darn cute in green! By chance I sourced Joshua’s outfit in the perfect tones, but everything else came together beautifully thanks to so many of our fantastic Directory vendors.
The balloons from Party Splendour were a real feature for the dessert table setup and also highlighted the colour scheme chosen:
Here is my little cutie Joshua who was a very happy little boy on the day!
I just adored this vintage tricycle prop from Tiny Tots Toy Hire and the personalised sign by Foamtastic Party Decor. Also the colours of the tassel garland by DD Brand were a favourite of mine and now hang up in Joshua’s bedroom!
The rustic table and props from Sweet Heavenly Events helped to bring the touch of vintage for this vintage tricycle theme:
I loved the simplicity of the dessert buffet with sweets kept to a minimum but with maximum impact using colour, and that incredible cake topper by LLC vendor Glistening Occasions. Our friends and family enjoyed sweet macarons and chocolate dipped strawberries piled high in towers upon matching cake stands and the kids loved the cookies!
When you are not having the party at home, it really does help to keep the dessert table layout very simple – although the props/balloons brought the theme to life, the dessert display was easy to put together at the venue:
This design by Giggles and Grace Designs was a perfect addition to the celebration and now hangs in Joshua’s bedroom as a wonderful keepsake and piece of artwork.
The little guests were given a book to take home packaged up to suit the vintage theme:
Entertainment for a first birthday can be difficult if you have varying age groups coming, but this ball pit from Tiny Tots Toy Hire was a hit with the younger ones, and the team from Fairy La La Land kept the older children entertained in between strawberries. My daughters and their cousins requested Elsa (of course) and Luke Skywalker and the entertainers did a great job with the older kids!
Of course none of this would have been possible (well, maybe Joshua’s outfit!) without the talent of the extraordinary LLC vendors – all listed below for you to quickly access if you’ve been inspired and seen something you can use for your next celebration.
LLC Party Vendors:
I loved sharing this special occasion with you, and hope it brought a smile to your face too
Just like a great artist, an event stylist has a signature style that you can recognise on each and every one of their creations. From the vision to the execution of the candy buffets, the finest of details have a way of being brought together that leave a lasting impression on those lucky enough to capture the moment.
I’ve always admired the work of Melbourne stylist ,Victoria of Miss Deliciouza for her attention to detail and unique spin she puts on some of the more popular themes you think you’ve already seen every possible adaptation of!
Collaborating with many of our LLC directory vendors, Victoria’s candy buffets are a complete feast for your senses, and I can only imagine the gasps of delight from guests as they take in every detail and taste every last bite.
Eva, you were one lucky girl to receive a third birthday party like this!
A Safari theme is a popular choice for first birthday’s but I particularly like how Miss Deliciouza added more organic, earthy colours rather than the brights – and that backdrop!
The Disney masterpiece, Frozen continues to capture the imagination of young girls, making the work of a stylist extremely difficult, trying to create new designs each and every time. Using the Coronation Day colours and return of Spring in Arendale rather than the popular blue, white and snow (can you tell I’ve had my fair share of the movie too?!) looks absolutely gorgeous.
I could keep going for days with all the beautiful images from Miss Deliciouza events, but I won’t! Instead, jump on over to her Facebook page to see more of her incredible work and contact details for you to lock her in for your upcoming event if you’re in Melbourne!
