Science and Slime Birthday Party
Has your house been invaded by slime yet?
Ours has – multiple times! Thankfully I was worded up on a handy tip to use vinegar to remove it from any surface (including carpet), so the slippery, slimey fun can continue. It’s since sparked a wave of interest in science experiments and my kids have even been creating more slime at school…and bringing it home (*thank you…not*)!
A science and slime party theme is perfect for inquisitive school aged children, and we’ve found some great items to help pull it all together – and then watch an episode of Myth Busters or Operation Ouch! for some more inspiration!
Science and Slime Party Invitations
Give your guests an invitation to the mad science lab, complete with Bunsen burners, test tubes and slime!
Science and Slime Party decorations
Pick your favourite coloured slime and go to town with weird and wonderful textures, shapes and props. You can find lots of things at home to use such as chalk boards and glass jars – just fill with water and food colouring for added effect! You can go with any colours for a slime or science party theme but we have included lots of green items for the typical slime/science party look:
Science and Slime Party Tableware
A table amongst the madness set with coordinated slime coloured tableware will be enough to pull the little scientists away from the experiments long enough for cake.
Science and Slime Party Cakes
A party isn’t a party without cake and a few treats, and in the spirit of a science experiment, why not make them in theme too, and see if they are still eaten…bet they are!
Science and Slime Party Favours
If sending guests home with more slime, a good tips for parents is to have vinegar on hand to remove it from practically any surface – including carpet!
Science and Slime Party Entertainment
Some things are sometimes best left to the experts, and out of the house! So consider a party entertainer that can supply all the equipment or a venue that doesn’t require you to clean up for the ultimate in messy science fun!
It’s so great to see kids interested and excited in science, so why not encourage it with a science and slime party. Mums and Dads might even enjoy it too!
