Beauty and the Beast party – Eve & Co Stationery
It’s been a long time coming, but FINALLY one of my my favourite Disney Princesses and her Beast are being brought to the big screen.
Beauty and the Beast will arrive in Cinemas around the country from March 23, so we’re predicting a surge of Belle inspired birthday parties this year, and mum’s frantically trying to find her dress! So if you see one, grab it now before it’s too late!
To help you prepare for the inevitable, we’ve put the call out to our talented LLC vendors to find you everything you’ll need for your Beauty and the Beast party.

Today I am delighted to finally share with you the 2nd shoot which was a collaboration of Life’s Little Celebration partners for Confetti Fair magazine!
Life’s Little Celebration partners collaborated on 4 shoots inspired by air, water, earth and fire and this engagement dessert table shoot was inspired by “fire” with a modern and playful feel!
Lopa from The Pumpkin Carriage coordinated and styled this gorgeous suit, collaborating with a range of LLC partners whose details are below.! Photos were captured beautifully by Captured by Kirri.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBrHILVzq6M
The colour scheme was inspired by the colours of a blazing flame including lots of red, orange and yellow set against a clean white background to highlight the fiery colours.
The theme was brought to life with lots of red hearts and elements of fire on the table including heart shaped macarons and cookies, mini dessert cups with hearts on them whilst the cake and cupcakes represented fire!
The jumbo red balloons stand out as a fun element to this dessert table and I love the tassels created for them!:
The fiery effect on the engagement cake looks amazing:
I love the concept and 3D effect of this heart backdrop which also tied in with the invitation:
The fire theme and colours were really seen throughout the array of desserts which included everything from mini dessert cups to cupcakes, macarons, cake pops and cookies:
The final little details really made this engagement dessert table extra special!:
I hope this engagement dessert table inspired anyone planning an engagement party or anyone wanting to do a party using this colour scheme!

Guest posting on the blog today is Renata of The Paper Lantern, sharing party ideas and party supplies for a Construction party theme – which is one of the most popular themes for boys! Enjoy all the fantastic finds:
Construction Theme
A construction theme is always a big hit with boys and with a bit of creativity you can make a huge impact without spending a fortune, which is what we are all about at The Paper Lantern!
Have a look around your home for items that could serve as props such as tonka trucks, pavers, bricks and ‘safe’ tools depending on the age of the birthday boy of course.
A customer of ours piled up pavers as the cake stand…a cost effective solution that suits the theme perfectly!
Pair your own items with some of our black, yellow and orange Construction themed partyware from our online store and you will have an awesome boy’s party!
Fill our yellow parts storage bins with food for the hungry construction workers. Get creative with your food labels…we had Drain Pipes (Liquorice Bites), Drill Bits (Twisties), Nuts n Bolts (Nutri Grain Mix), Pebbles (Choc Sultanas), Building Blocks (Choc Honeycomb) and Wrecking Balls (Cheetos). Kids will have so much fun with this!
Our mini pots, wooden teaspoons and black & white bakers twine combine to make a delicious ‘mud pot’ moose for the kids and are a great way to keep the theme going.
Our Construction Printables Set for only $8.95 is available for instant download and includes invitations, drink labels, signs and so much more to enhance the theme!
Hazard tape, witches hats, construction paper straws and black & white striped disposable partyware are some of our other great Construction themed products!
These are just a few ideas to get you on your way to constructing an awesome party!
Browse the Construction Theme online at The Paper Lantern to start your Construction party planning!
Thanks to Louise from Illume Designs who is guest posting today with ideas and supplies for a Lego party!
Lego party themes are so popular at the moment, and I have put together some images and suggested products that I used to style my son Alek’s 4th Birthday Lego Party.
Alek decided on a Lego theme so I thought it would be great to incorporate chevron yellow into the styling. I used Illume Design’s chevron yellow party ware and incorporated the chevron design into the invite, thank you tags, chocolate bars and buffet sign.
The cake was a chocolate mud cake, made into the shape of a number 4. I added the actual Lego buggy’s and Lego men. I also had lego cookies made into the shape of lego heads. The cupcakes were made by myself and I added fondant Lego block to each cupcake
Here is a selection of Yellow partyware to match with a Lego party theme all available from Illume Designs
Source list:
1. Chevron Yellow Large Plates 2. Chevron Yellow Dessert Plate 3. Chevron Yellow Cupcake Wrapper 4. Chevron Yellow Napkin 5. Chevron Yellow Bunting 6. Chevron Yellow Treat Bag 7. Chevron Yellow Cup 8. Chevron Yellow Tag – all available from: Illume Designs
The Lego invitations, Lego thank you tags, personalised chocolate bars and Lego sign, designed by myself.
Stunning cake and cookies by Miss Confetti
I hope this helps with planning and styling your own Lego party – Louise
Thanks so much Louise from Illume Design’s for your inspiration and ideas ! For more lego party ideas you can also see my previous blog post for a lego theme here.
