Real Party Feature: Favourite Things theme

Today I am featuring a 3rd birthday party involving some of my Queensland vendors from the Life’s Little Celebration’s children’s party directory (Credits at the bottom). You can meet a lot of these vendors in person at the Confetti Fair in Brisbane (Saturday 8th March)!

I love all the pretty handmade flowers and the delicate garden feel of this party.

All the details as told by Michelle from Hanging Pretty:

Lilly-Jean was turning three and seeing as she loved so many different things, I decided to create a “A few of my favorite things” party for her.

I started with her favorite book at the time called “Annie the Apple Pie Fairy” that features Lara Ede’s delightful illustrations and Tim Bugbird’s wonderful, rhyming text about a TV chef who makes simple, homey pies. One day, her position as the queen of pies is threatened by Sondra the Strudel fairy’s new show. An intense competition starts between Annie and Sondra, and sees their fairy audience become obsessed with Sondra’s fancy pies and the gadgets used to make them. But when the mass of new gadgets and pie-making machines causes a huge power outage, what will happen to all the pies, and will Annie be able to save the day?

We read to the kids while sitting up in the backyard.  Then there were activities such as coluring in pictures of Lilly’s favourite things in the mini colouring books or swimming like her favorite fish, Nemo.

Exploring the garden, led them to discover mini dessert tables, allowing the children to feel like big kids for one day, as they could easily reach all the yummy treats!!

Joce from Memories are Sweet was amazing at creating the vision I had for all the printables and Lilly loved seeing herself featured on them too.

Helen from Baked created the most yummy treats and all the kids had fun finding all the sweets from their books too.

Everyone had a really lovely time and went home to eat up all the little take home lollies and then plant their own strawberry seedlings in the little hessian bags.
