When you’re expecting a new baby – it is a special time and definitely a time to celebrate! A baby shower is a beautiful chance to pamper the mother to be and indulge her a little while celebrating the unique life about to be born!
Talented Life’s Little Celebration vendors collaborated together to put together an inspirational shoot in time for spring for anyone planning a baby shower! This shoot was styled for a special feature on Lenzo which you can view here.
These beautiful invites really set the tone for the whole shoot and I love the idea of theming a baby shower around such a floral concept as being “in full bloom”!
The whole event then came alive with the gorgeous array of flowers and decor to create a relaxing, inviting and perfectly pretty setting with the colours of the flowers working so beautifully with the rose gold touches:
The cake and desserts again exemplified the whole theme of being “in full bloom” with pretty and delicate floral details:
Handmade elements such as these handpainted artworks and gift tags add so much personal detail:
Can you believe these seed packets are actually cookies? Just stunning detail!
I love the refreshing drink station setup with the mixes of rose gold and greens:
This beautiful flower was actually handcrafted from paper – hard to believe I know! Paper flowers are the perfect way to add extra floral touches which you can keep after the celebration!

This week it’s my little boy’s turn in the spotlight, and I’m so excited to be sharing his first birthday party with you after it was featured on Babyology last week!
First Birthday’s are always a big celebration in our family, and the kids love looking back on the photos just as much as we do – so whilst it may look like he enjoyed the ball pit more than anything, you couldn’t wipe the smile from his face all day. At such a young age they just know the day is all about them, don’t they?
The vintage tricycle theme was chosen because for me it represents the innocence and simplicity of childhood, and it was one I had been holding off on using until we welcomed a little boy into our family – there had been a lot of pink up until now with two daughters already!
Less traditional colours of copper, mint green and yellow were chosen simply because he looks so darn cute in green! By chance I sourced Joshua’s outfit in the perfect tones, but everything else came together beautifully thanks to so many of our fantastic Directory vendors.
The balloons from Party Splendour were a real feature for the dessert table setup and also highlighted the colour scheme chosen:
Here is my little cutie Joshua who was a very happy little boy on the day!
I just adored this vintage tricycle prop from Tiny Tots Toy Hire and the personalised sign by Foamtastic Party Decor. Also the colours of the tassel garland by DD Brand were a favourite of mine and now hang up in Joshua’s bedroom!
The rustic table and props from Sweet Heavenly Events helped to bring the touch of vintage for this vintage tricycle theme:
I loved the simplicity of the dessert buffet with sweets kept to a minimum but with maximum impact using colour, and that incredible cake topper by LLC vendor Glistening Occasions. Our friends and family enjoyed sweet macarons and chocolate dipped strawberries piled high in towers upon matching cake stands and the kids loved the cookies!
When you are not having the party at home, it really does help to keep the dessert table layout very simple – although the props/balloons brought the theme to life, the dessert display was easy to put together at the venue:
This design by Giggles and Grace Designs was a perfect addition to the celebration and now hangs in Joshua’s bedroom as a wonderful keepsake and piece of artwork.
The little guests were given a book to take home packaged up to suit the vintage theme:
Entertainment for a first birthday can be difficult if you have varying age groups coming, but this ball pit from Tiny Tots Toy Hire was a hit with the younger ones, and the team from Fairy La La Land kept the older children entertained in between strawberries. My daughters and their cousins requested Elsa (of course) and Luke Skywalker and the entertainers did a great job with the older kids!
Of course none of this would have been possible (well, maybe Joshua’s outfit!) without the talent of the extraordinary LLC vendors – all listed below for you to quickly access if you’ve been inspired and seen something you can use for your next celebration.
